The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum offers a new #Falliday Train Ride:  Little Engineer’s Train Ride

Dennison, Ohio
This fall, when the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum invites visitors to hop aboard their #Falliday Trips to celebrate the arrival of fall, there is something special for kids: The Little Engineer’s Trip on October 12 and 13 at 3pm.

Children are encouraged to dress as engineers and conductors on this one hour fall trip departing the Dennison Depot at 3pm, heading east toward Bowerston, Ohio.  This family fun trip will include hearing the beloved story “The Little Engineer that Could”, singing favorite railroad songs, learning railroad signals and slag, and playing games – all while traveling on a train!
Children can also dress as their favorite famous train traveler:  a movie star, baseball player, soldier…or even a president!  Each child will receive an engineer’s cap to take home, and will enjoy delicious pumpkin cookies on board!

Before the trip, they can also visit with Dennison’s WWI Canine Hero Bing in his Bing House outside the Depot.
Kids will definitely want to visit the Museum before or after their trip to do the Bing Scavenger Hunt, as well as visit the Museum’s Interactive Railroad Experience Car where kids can climb into a Pullman Bunk, send train orders from the Railroad Tower, use the telegraph in the Railroad’s Clerk Office, sit in the Watchman’s Shanty,  dine or serve in the Dining Car and try their hand at Railroad Signal Equipment.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for a child 3-12 (under 3 is free).  To purchase your tickets, call the Dennison Depot at 740.922.6776 or order online at

The Dennison Depot celebrates the arrival of fall with a series of #Falliday Train Rides on October 12-13 and 19-20,  including the Troop Train Ride, Little Engineer’s Trip, Chocolate and Cheese Ride and Fall Foliage Rides. Information for all are available on
