There are a lot of uncertain things this day and age.
One thing can be certain; if a rail attraction or park takes measures….it is perfectly safe to visit.
Fostoria Iron Triangle Rail Park is most certainly one of those destinations.
The Rail Park; prior to COVID 19, was already ahead of the curve.
With the help of volunteers from the Fostoria Rail Preservation Society, the City of Fostoria and mindful visitors; it has been a extremely safe place to visit.

My visit on August 28th proves that in spades.
Trevor and his wife from Bloomington, Indiana arrived Friday to take in the area.
Trevor; a ex-patriot from England, moved to the Midwest in the early 2000’s. He became involved with Central Indiana NMRA.
He heard about the development on the railpark; eventually visiting the finished property.
“This is by far one of the best locations to visit,” he chirped as a CSX mixed manifest rolled by.
Patrick Barryman; a Michigan railfan, has visited Fostoria and other Western and Northern Ohio rail spots.
He mentioned that he had visited Cincinnati, Deshler, and other hotspots.
“With the restrooms, platform, and parking; this is one of the best rail parks in the country,” Patrick stated.
Between Fostoria Police patrolling the property, the folks who keep it sanitized, and the overall location; we highly recommend visiting the Rail Park.
As always, travel with your own cleaning pack and mind the State of Ohio COVID 19 protocol.
